Conversion of ammonia into hydrogen using cold plasmas coupled with catalysis
Goals
The result is a cold plasma-catalysis process that optimizes the conversion of ammonia into hydrogen, at the lowest possible energy cost.
Innovations
As part of the development of a hydrogen loop, ammonia is proving to be an interesting transport vector. The aim of the project is to convert transported ammonia into H2 at low energy cost, using plasma discharges. This project complements the ERDF SynfonHy project, in which NH3 will be synthesized from N2 and H2.
